Accounting packages, which one is for me?

December 1, 2017

We are living in a cyber age, a world that does not seem to exist without computers and the internet.

The accounting world has thus had to adapt to the changes in technology, and so whilst the root of where it all began with the stores of ledger books and the time consuming task of manual entries will not soon be forgot, we have computers now. Lovely little things, I'm sure you'll agree. So, we know that computers do indeed make our lives easier for the most part, but now we just have so many options to choose from that choosing the right one can one is easier said than done.

This decision making process rings especially true when trying to decide on which accounting package to commit to. There are tons of different suppliers, pricing schemes and package options.

Sage Pastel is one of the most well know accounting packages around, which offers a wide range of accounting packages including an online version allowing you to stay on top of things no matter where you are.

QuickBooks also a well known accounting package offers a comprehensive desktop accounting package as well as their own online accounting version.

OMNI Accounting, is like playing lego, you have a large variety of different accounting options that you can pick and choose from, enabling you to build exactly the accounting package you are looking for.
